Ralph Kenneth Mielke, 85, of Menominee, Michigan, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette, Wisconsin.
He was born June 23, 1930, in Menominee to the late Edwin and Violetta (Gruman) Mielke. Ralph served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He married the former Ruth Beyersdorf June 27, 1959, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Menominee. Ralph was employed by the City of Menominee Street Department for over 20 years, retiring in 1987.
Ralph was an active member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served on various committees and volunteered his time and helping wherever he could. He also was a member of the Menominee American Legion Post #146.
Surviving are his loving of wife of over 56 years, Ruth; a son and daughter-in-law, The Reverend David and Cheryl Mielke of Oakley, Michigan; a grandson, Micah Mielke of Oakley; a sister, Joyce (Mrs. Reuben) Johnson and sister-in-law, Mrs. Harriet Mielke both of Marinette; numerous other family members and friends.
Ralph was further preceded in death by sisters, Betty Bebo, Violet Salfai and Margaret Jacobson and a brother, Edward Mielke.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church Menominee, from 10:00 until the service hour of 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015. The Reverend Paul Cole will officiate with interment at Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.
